First of all we would like to thank all of you who have submitted their mixes to us!
More than 40 quality sets were handed in within just a couple of days so we have spent quite a lot of time listening very closely... After a very tough selection process we have finally come to a decision!
We hereby announce the following DJs to be finalists
for our DJ competition at Bal Harbour:
Thorne * DJ Foul * DJ Hulk * Sybian * Mr Joseph * Maccanuka
The above six contestants will have the chance to convince the jury including D&B greats as DJ Bailey and A-SIdes that they deserve the first official title of SUNANDBASS DJ competition winner. In the finals which will take place on
11 September 2009 at Bal Harbour each participant has 30 minutes for a DJ set. We ask all finalists to meet at 15:30 at Bal Harbour in San Teodoro. Please talk to our check-in desk for further info.

If you're living in the London area or happen to be in town come join us for a warm up session at Carnival on Saturday, 29th August 2009!
From 10pm to 4am there will be DJ spinning and SUNANDBASS participants chatting about the event that is just around the corner now.

| DJ Competition on Friday 11th September |

Ever wanted to play at SUNANDBASS? This is your chance to win a spot at the first edition of SUNANDBASS DJ competition! Show us your skills and send in your best mix - no limits to genres! The best six DJs will get the chance to perform in front of an international crowd at the finals at our exclusive open air location Bal Harbour! During the pool party on Friday 11th September a jury including renowned artists as Bailey and DJ A-Sides will award the official winner of the first SUNANDBASS DJ competition who will walk away with a brand new Rane SL 3 for Scratch Live!
How to participate at the competition:
1. Record a 60-minute long mix. Not limited to D&B - all genres welcome!
2. Upload your mix to to mixcloud.com (see instructions below)
3. Six DJs will be announced as finalists for the competiton during SUNANDBASS 2009
4. Bring your record bag for the final showdown at Bal Harbour pool party on Friday 11th September!
Please note that mixes are accepted until 28 August 2009 only!
The finalists playing at SUNANDBASS DxJ competition will be announced on 31 August 2009.
Instruction for uploading your mix:

and maybe also to add genre/tag as you wish

As temperature is slowly rising and the sun is trying to find its way through the clouds...we have some fantastic news to share with you: We officially announce the 2009 ticket sale to start NOW!!
And we have some great innovations to the existing set up of the event: Be prepared for true highlights as an extra opening clubnight at 5 September 2009 and the addition of a new and exciting clubnight location in San Teodoro! First part of the line up will be released towards end June. But guess what, it's going to be another mind blowing selection of some of the hottest names in the scene to make this one an experience to remember...

| It’s been a while |

It’s been a while since you last heard from us. So let’s start off with wishing you all the best for 2009! SUNANDBASS is entering it’s 6th year since everything started back in 2004 and we can proudly look back at 5 mind-blowing editions of our fantastic Drum&Bass holidays on beautiful Sardinia.
Once again we would like to thank all of you for making this the special happening it is eversince the first time we got together in San Teodoro! We’re looking very much forward to a lot more of these special moments in the future.
The Crew is currently working on setting up the event for 5 to 12 September 2009. Further info on ticket sale will be communicated on our website and via newsletter within the next weeks.
